Electric Capability
The Carrera Subway E comes equipped with a 317Wh battery with a range an average range of 20 – 25 miles* (40 miles max) and a small charge window of 6 hours.
The rear wheel houses a motor capable of delivering speeds of up to 15.5mph without compromising grip.
The Suntour OLED display allows you to seamlessly switch between four different modes, eco, tour, sport and turbo depending on the level of assistance you need. The Subway E offers the chance to truly get out there and go further than ever.
Range
All electric bikes indicate a maximum mileage range that they can cover on a single battery charge. This is the furthest range in ideal conditions; however, this range can be impacted by a number of factors:
• The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
• The assistance mode selected.
• The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
• Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
• Tyre pressure.
• Wind speed and direction.
Extra Comfort
Customers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial element of the overall package.
Recognising this, we’ve equipped the Subway E bikes with memory foam saddles helping you spend even more time comfortably on the roads and trails.
Often overlooked (but nevertheless important as they are one of your contact points) we’ve included ergonomic comfort grips to ease the strain of a long commute.
On top of that we know when commuting that punctures are the last thing you need, that’s why the Subway E comes equipped with Kenda puncture protect tyres. We have also given the Subway a fast rolling 27.5″ tyre meaning your commute just got easier.

The Carrera Subway E is kitted out with reliable Shimano 9 speed gears and a single chainring on the front allowing for hassle free shifting.
We know that with all that added power you’ll want consistent braking so we have outfitted the Subway E with Tektro mechanical disc brakes with 180mm rotors, meaning stopping is a breeze.
Aftercare
When you buy a Carrera through Halfords, the service doesn’t end when you walk away with your bike, we also offer our additional CycleCare packages.
