Electric Capability
The Crossfuse features a 400Wh Bosch Powerpack with an average 30-35 miles* (max 80 miles) of ride time.
The Bosch Active Line motor is located centrally to keep the weight balanced and low to the ground for enhanced handling. The power you receive whilst riding is regulated by a torque sensor, this sensor responds to the effort you put in and adjusts power accordingly.
The electric motor on the Crossfuse is controlled by a Bosch LCD compact dsiplay which sits on the handlebars, from here you can see trip distance and speed as well as setting one of the four assistance levels you recieve.
Range
All electric bikes indicate a maximum mileage range that they can cover on a single battery charge. This is the furthest range in ideal conditions; however, this range can be impacted by a number of factors:
• The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
• The assistance mode selected.
• The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
• Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
• Tyre pressure.
• Wind speed and direction.
Extra Comfort
Customers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial element of the overall package.
Recognising this, we’ve equipped the Crossfuse bikes with memory foam saddles helping you spend even more time comfortably on the roads and trails.
Often overlooked (but nevertheless important as they are one of your contact points) we’ve included ergonomic comfort grips to ease the strain of a long commute.
On top of that we know that when commuting you need both reliability and comfort from your tyres. That’s why the Carrera Crossfuse is equipped with 700c Schwalbe Tyrago tyres which offer excellent rolling effieciency without compromising on toughness.

Sitting at the top of the Carrera hybrid Range the Carrera Crossfuse boasts smooth and reliable 9 speed shimano gears with just a single chainring on the front for hassle free shifting.
With the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes stopping will never be an issue. and to top it off Suntour NEX HLO lock out forks with 63mm of travel means that not only can you gurantee a smooth commute, you can alter the suspension you get.
